'The Martian' narrates the incredible story of an astronaut surviving when stranded on Mars. The director brings the science fiction concept of Andy Weir's novel into reality and delivers it in an enchanting way, leaving the viewers mesmerized. The plot revolves around the theme when Mark Watney is assumed to be dead by his team after a vicious storm during a manned mission to Mars, which leaves him stranded on the red planet, 82 million kilometers away from home. Relying on his resourcefulness and knowledge of biology, Mark must find a way to keep himself alive
and find a way to signal to Earth that he's alive.
Don’t expect all of the science to be what it should be. The hard part about good science fiction has always been the fiction part. Firstly the Johnson Space Center in Houston and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena look nothing like the slick, futuristic places they appear to be on screen. Moreover, other details include the scientific element of the cosmos and the atmosphere of Mars.
The Martian shows the botany on Mars mostly right. Other visuals about the gravity control technology on storm is practical and used by NASA in present day. On the whole, 'The Martian' does a brilliant job making the viewers feel like they're with Mark.
